Well, these are a little late! The first show of the season is held in Birmingham at the Botanical Gardens & Glasshouses. I prefer the shows at RHS Wisley as the gardens there are much more interesting and the lighting in the hall is much better for photo quality. The show is usually dominated by C. graecum, and all photos below are of that species.

Tim, those are beautiful. It still amazes me how much a species exhibits so many different patterns. No wonder there are some growers that choose just to have a collection of graecum. Those pots look huge! My graecum are taking so long to take off, most that are coming out of dormancy still only have one leaf. Is this normal for them?

There are some magnificent specimens there and as Terry says such variety in the leaf patterns. I really like this species. Thanks for posting - these are lovely to see.

Those graecums are one by one superior plants, it suprises me that so few f. albums are displayed or are they just not in the picture also am i very found of the whiteflowering forms photo n°7 displays a very beautiful 'elegant' form may even be the best pink i ever enjoyed seeing!

Hello Jonathan, there weren't as many graecum forma Albums on display as there usually are at this show. I too like the form of the plant in photo 7, although I also like the plant in photo 4 too. The flowers are so tightly packed on that plant. The last photo is of the graecum which have been exhibited for foliage, which is why there aren't all that many flowers on them. I did take photos of most of the other classes, but the lighting was so poor, that many of those photos were not worth posting. That sort of behaviour isn't unusual Terry. On the whole I find graecum slow from seed. I had a few plants flower this year which I 'think' are two years old - at most they are three, but they do normally take a bit longer. Annoying thing is, I don't know if I've done anything different with these few plants that have flowered at a young age, otherwise I would know what to do with young graecum from now on! Are your graecum coming out of dormancy showing any nice leaf patterns?

I think that I have a group that will resemble photos 5 & 6. So far nothing showing up like 7 or 8-or I have them unlabled and think they are my c. hederifolium.
