Here are a few more of them coming along. For Matthias I posted the one with the split leaf, I think he will find it of interest.
and a closer look at the leaf
This one almost has the look of a key to the pattern of one of the leaves.
This I had with my c. hederifolium, but it looks more like coum. Tim can you give your opinion? What ever it is, the leaf pattern is very nice so it will stay indoors to be admired up close.
And last is my c. coum with it's pink buds at last tall enough to get a glimpse. They do take a long time to get to the point of opening, who knows, it may be spring before I see them!

Hi Terry, I am also very interested in the identification of that cyclamen mixed in amidst your hederifolium - let me know the final identification, thank you! Wilson

Thanks Tim, good to hear from you. You must be having a busy weekend with your polytunnel and flood benches.

Terry, thanks for the pictures of the split leaf. That is very interesting indeed and would support my theory, that cyclamen leaves, not unlike many other things in life, are not what they seem to be and what we see with our inexperienced eyes.

It's fun to see your "babies" Terry. I planted my first seed almost three weeks ago, no sign of germination yet. They are in my basement which keeps a very steady temperature and I have a cover over them to keep them in the dark. Fingers crossed I'll eventually have some to photo and share.

I especially like the "key" pattern and the one that resembles a maple leaf! Hope your flower buds open for you before Spring! Whenever they decide to open, it will be well worth the wait!

Thanks Shirley. It may be that the temperatures in the room are getting down to the low 40's and slowing them down a bit. But rest assured as soon as they unfurl, the pictures will be posted!

Hi Terry, The deed is done; I've finally planted my quota of seeds alloted me from the Cyclamen Society - Next year 2006 should be a very interesting year; a little of this and a little of that! I am looking forward to my miniature Garden escape hatch to get away from it all smile! Now we will see, exactly how much I have learnt from Tim, You and G/Buddies - smile! I still need just a handfull of cyclamen seeds from Tim's posting in 2006 (one or two of each cyclamen species that blooms in winter, spring, summer and autumn to fill in my quest to have a tiny cyclamen patch blooming all the year round, (I will have to refer to Tim's previous postings). There is still no signs of life of my Cyclamen Purpurascens - correction, one did germinate and I am still waiting for the others to make their appearance, ditto for Rhodium Peloponnesiacum. Hope Tim has some of my most favorite of cyclamen next year: Mirabile Tilebarn Nicholas (especially)/ Ann, Jan, Coum Tilebarn Graham, Rhodium Vividum, Rohlfsianum and of course Purpurascens (Christmas tree leaf pattern probably - don't know which one has the most pronounced/well-marked leaf pattern) to replace mine which for some reason just plain refuse to co-operate. They just sit there sulking; ditto for the Rhodium too, smile)! There is never enough cyclamen - Wilsonae Cyclamen alias the Cyclameniac - smile! wilsonae cyclamen
