Well I'm on a low clematis budget this year! We are going to Italy in April and I need a new lens and a new memory card a.s.o. and the boat needs a new hood, (very important says DH). But I'll visit to the Nordic Gardens Fair in Stockholm in the end of March is planned. The Swedish Clematis Society has an exhibition there and are selling small clematis plants very, very cheap and they use to have many very exciting clematis. And I have ordered some clematis directly from Estonia. I have had luck with these small plants, sometimes they seem to survive better here in the cold Nordic climate than many of their bigger and more expensive sisters and brothers.

Ingmarie, you are right that the quality of the Kivistik clematis is very good. My experience with their Clematis is very good. I have seen the mother plants of the new seedlings and which they have in production and they were very healthy and rich flowering and they are not so expensive as the Evison collection.

Well, I did not "order" I just bought from the nursery:

-Viticella "Alba Luxurians" (wanted it for a long time)
-Viticella "Betty Corning" (I do hope it is the fragrant clone!)
-G.Texensis "Princes Diana" (finally!)
-C.Piilu (I am fond of Uno Kivistic hybrids)
-G.Atrangene "Pink Flamingo" (my first of this group...on the pictures it looks stunning!)
-Macropetala "White Swan" (just could not pass it by...what a beautiful name)

Well and a rose..."Ebb Tide" 2006... "the darkest, richest, most strongly scented purple..."

I've decided on Avant Garde and Fond Memories for a starter, but I haven't yet decided on the others which I will do in the next month. I have to limit my choices because my back garden is getting so crowded !

I envy those of you who came up with a short list. I managed recently to finally settle on which roses I'll be getting this year. Coming up with a list of clematis will be another huge undertaking. There's simply too many beautiful types which I would love to have all at once.

Imagine you can buy clematis and plant them already Malgorzata! We have to wait nearly tow months before we can plant here in Sweden. Piilu is so very sweet and freeflowering and in your climate Malgorzata, I'm sure you'll have a double first flowering and a single second.... Plant Forum

Malgorzata
we must have similar tastes, all those are wonderful. I agree the name 'White Swan' conjures up a nice image..
Jeanne, you are shamey...what does that add up to, 16 new ones this spring?
Katie,
I can't imagine having to put in 50+ new ones. Where will you put them all?
Gardenbug,
what were the new 15 that you got for Christmas?
Tanya and Susan,
I forgot about Ekstra. I think I mixed that one up with the Tuchka on my list. All these names are starting to run together! I should get a 'Laura' for my daughter.
I'm ordering
Iryuu
Caroline
Tuchka (I think)
Solina
Roko-Kolla (finally!)
Hopefully, the nurseries near me will have clematis this year. Last year no one had any new varieties, just the ordinary ones.
Great thread, Terry. I love to hear what makes everyone's heart beat quicker! Happy Valentine's Day!!

Malgorzata, that's a very nice collection of healthy young plants you have there!

Gimmeclems, the weather has been so MILD it really has my mind in spring mode, though the forecast is calling for a COLD blast. You have several on your list that I'm also hoping to find! Two years ago I had received Roko Kolla, though it came DOA. I've been awaiting to find Caroline and Ekstra ... happy hunting all!

Malgorzata, I had to have an "Ebb Tide" also. The description alone (Dusky deep purple buds swirl open to very double old-fashioned flowers of velvet plum washed with a haze of sultry smoke. The intense clove fragrance...) was enough to make me drool.

Back to Clematis....
This is what I've ordered on-line...so far

Black Prince’
Rhapsody'
Sizaia Ptitsia'
Teshio'
Valge Daam’
williamsii A.Gray
