Last weekend we thought that the cherries were ready to eat, already.

Always blackbirds dispute us the cherries, but we all have enough.

Are not they beautiful and tasty?

I have a small dwarf that gives me a very few each season, if I can keep the birds away.

My neighbor has a nice tree but it's infested with 'black cherry aphids' this year. He will get some fruit but the tree looks awful. He is spraying now.

What kind of cherry is that, Mariae?

Hi, Dazie and Andy,we have some ones in our yard, but they are not planted by us, they all grew wild and it is possible to see many around us,in the fields or in the wood.

We eat the cherries but, of course, the birds eat more, but for us is not a problem because we have lots of cherries and the birds are the ones that "plant" the new ones, so they are the owners too.

Also, it is a good opportunity to have birds in the garden and we love them.

Do you understand me when I said that blackbirds are happy in our area?
