Hi everyone, I am new to the forum and was looking for some help identifying this flower that mysteriously popped up in my garden last year. It has gotten bigger this year and I really like it. I plan to move it to a better part of my garden or maybe on my fence. But I would like to know what it is so I can care for it better. I don't know how it got here, perhaps it came in the fertilizer/mulch I put down since we get it from the city site. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Flutterbies, I think what you have is a very pretty wildflower/weed called cow vetch or bird vetch. See the links below to confirm the identify. The very last link says its not particularly invasive in the eastern states. Although it is apparently a noxious weed in Alaska according to the second link! I do think its very pretty. http://www.adampaul.com/wildflowers/vetch.shtml http://akweeds.uaa.alaska.edu/pdfs/species_bios_pdfs/Species_bios_VICR.pdf http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/wildlife/range/weed/Sec3B.htm

Wow thanks so much! That is definately it. A friend of mine thought it was honeysuckle but looking that up on the net it didn't seem to fit. But that is definately it. Weed or not, I think it's pretty! LOL Thanks so much for your help.
