Hi! I had a very healthy-looking aquilegiagrowing. Nice greenleaves, plant getting bigger...now, all of asudden, there are white squiggly lines all over theleaves that were not there before. I don't see any insects on the plant. I also tried scraping some of the white off, and it did not come off. Does anyone know what this is? thanks Terrie

Leaf Miners. They are a regular pest of Aquilegias. You can remove the infested leaves and destroy them (not the compost pile).

Yep, I looked it up and that is what it is. I also read it won't hurt the plant, and in fact, it looks kinda cool! So, I might leave it and see how it does. the plant still looks healthy. My other aquilegia is pitiful, though :(
