Saw these on another forum, had to try. I think they're so cute........

I had just finished watering, as you can tell. Alot of people are using them for herb gardens, next year I will do trailing flowers, I think.

I love these. How did you fasten them together. I've got quite the collection of clay pots and would love to make one. I think trailing plants would be a great idea.

Actually, it's so easy it's ridiculous.
Get a 5 foot piece of rebar, pound a foot into the ground. take the largest pot, mine is 12 inch, fill half with peanuts or whatever, then dirt, stick it down the rebar to the bottom. Take the next largest, I used 10 inch, put soil in it, and when you put it down the rebar, just tip it to one side.It will sit mostly inside the big one, but that's ok. Do that with the rest, alternating which way they lean.
That's it-took me all of 20 minutes.
Post a pic when you're done, I'd love to see it :)

Oh, I forgot to mention, when you water them, do it verrrrry slowly, so the soil doesn't wash out.

I did it slightly different.

I used cheapo pink pots from the Dollar Store and hung them.

I have a trailing plant in there that I call string of buttons .. don't know the actual name for it. It has small yellow flowers on it.

Rain, how did you make the hanging pots? I see the rebar but what did you use under the first pot to keep it from coming off? Real nice, Thanks

Wow, I had forgotten about this thread.
I have yet to get mine back out yet, it's supposed to be spring, but when I see frost in the a.m., I have to wonder.....
