I happen to love them. They have been a part of my gardens for decades, all from one pack of seed.

Sometimes they do get out of hand, though.

This is my Strawberry patch, lol. These are all volunteers. I left them so I could snap a few pics and let them shade the August berries. Their days are numbered.

You leave them be! They look great! My favorite ones are the purple ones. Had no luck finding those this year.

If you have the space they really are pretty en masse! I've read about a dwarf one that I'd love to try.

Pretty Pretty Andy. I have tried two years in a row to start them from seed. No luck for some reason although I know they are heavy self sowers. Maybe old seed. I will try direct sowing this year.

Hummmm- wonder if I bought a package of seeds now and just broadcast them in the flower bed? I have been shaking poppy seeds in all the beds now as they dry in the pods.

I like them...very unique. I would like some volunteers and it's never happened! I especially like the color you've shown, Andy. I would like to see the dwarfs...sounds interesting. :)
