I live in zone 11, Sacramento, California, USA. I purchased a potted cyclamen from a local store and would like to know how I might care for it without killing it. I have purchased two but they both died from over-watering. :( If you are willing and able, would you please share some tips and advice for growing an indoor cyclamen? Thank you. Kevin

I would recommend not watering it until it begins to wilt and keeping it in the coolest spot possible. The florist Cyclamen don't like heat or too much water. If you accidentally over water it , just use a paper towel or newspaper coiled up and attach that through the drainage holes in the pot. It will remove excess water. I've kept my Cyclamen persicum on the porch at just above freezing where it appeared quite happy. A cool window would likely help.
