this is a group of what are in flower today. it is pretty confusing as the cilicium and pseudibericum only opened in the last two days. I do not know what is happening but only the cyprium should be out with me at the moment.

What a charming group and a lovely way to display the different characteristics. They are so varied!

Thanks for the display Tony. I really must get some alpinum, I love those little propellors.

I don't have any pseudibericum, alpinum or persicum in flower yet, Tony. One coum in the garden is in full flower but those in pots are a while away yet. Elegans is in full swing and there are still flowers on hederifolium, cilicium, mirabile and intaminatum. Cyprium is still going but past its best now. How are your other pseudibericum looking compared to the one you have in flower, Tony? Are there buds showing? My creticum and balearicum are in leaf, but the rhodium are only just stirring into growth. How are yours doing?

Tony, that's a very nice collection. No flowers here yet but there are buds.

My other pseudibericum are showing buds at soil level but none are in flower. All my persicum are in flower and also a few alpinum. Coum is just starting. Creticum is in full leaf but no buds. Repandum leaves are just showing through the soil

Tony, I hope your camera doesn´t mind; to do those beautiful flowers justice I quickly ran them through Photoshop ...

Matthias I do not mind at all, it is a much better picture without the blue cast.Hopefully this problem will be resolved soon. They were photographed against a grey card as you can now see

I will post a picture of me and see if Matthias can work a miracle on that. I have the new camera just got to learn how to use it.

A couple of pseudibericum and an alpinum which are in flower at the moment. The pseudibericum both have a picotee like edge of slightly darker pink on the petals which I like

Wonderful plants Tony! How will you be able to tear your self away from them to go to Chile? Only kidding, you will find other treasures there I am sure.

Photoshop is good, Tony, but not quite that good!! Sorry, I couldn't resist, you handsome old devil... Your alpinum and pseudibericum are well ahead of mine. It looks like you've had flowers on both for a while now. I have one alpinum flower open and a couple of pseudibericum will have open flowers in the next week or so. Do you think it's the mild weather causing these to be flowering early?

Tim I had forgotten that you were overwhelmed by my youthful good looks when we met. I now have a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 and hopefully it will produce pictures with minimum input from me.I do not find photography a very interesting subject, more of a necessity if trying to discuss and share knowledge of the plants

Yeah, I share your feelings about photography. I have to admit to feeling chuffed with myself when a nice photo is produced, but I limit my learning of the subject to the minimum amount. Have you seen John Fielding's photography? He is probably one of the finest botanical photographers around. I've heard stories of him being on Crete with The Cyclamen Society and waiting half an hour for a shot because of wind movement. As much as I would like to be able to take photos like he can, I don't have the patience to wait for the perfect shot.
