Tim, Two pictures. One with the leaves from some mother plants, one with some intersting seedlings. Regards, Jan

Hi Jan, Thanks for posting these, they are wonderful. Nice to see that you have included a few plain green leaves in the multi leaf shot. I like the plain green leaf forms of C. purpurascens and my own plain green leaf plants are among my favourites.

Jan, great selection! My favourites are the three indicated ones. I like contrast, or, as Tim points out, plain green. I have one plain green with a beautiful heart shape that is so dark it almost looks black. Need to take photos as soon as the leaves look decent again; presently they suffer a bit from light frost out in the open garden.

Wow, I love the diversity of the leaves , Jan! My favorite is the large silver centered leaf on the far right, one of the seedling plants. I'd like to grow all forms and perhaps one day have a nice display in the garden with a mix of silver, green and fancy forms. They play off one another so well.

What a great Christmas treat to see all these purpurascens leaves. The seedling leaf all the way to the right with the light center surrounded by the dark edge is my favorite.

I had a feeling that the fourth from the left on the top row would be mentioned. It is certainly one of my favourites. They are all very nice and none could be described as mediocre.

Jan all very nice. Do you find that the seedlings never come up as good as the parent plant?

Tony, Sometimes seedlings are much better than the motherplant. Our 'Green''Ice is crossed back with one of the seedlings to get better plants. We crossed f. album with 'Green Ice'. One seed pod gives seedlings with only normal leaf pattern, the other one with 'Green Ice' pattern. You will understand that we cannot wait to see the flower colour. Regards, Jan
