Do any of you think it is too early to apply bone meal to my bulbs bed?

The sack I have derives from "cooked bone meal" and has an analysis of 6-12-0

I can't see that there is a problem with preparing the soil a bit early, unless it will encourage the weeds rather than the bulbs. The stuff will remain useful for months, so it will be there when the bulbs want it. Can't affect their flowering now, this years flowers were already formed last year, and it will be available as soon as they want it.
