You're further ahead that me; our zone 8 feels like a 3 right now. I put out some African Horned cucumbers thinking we were going to have our usual great June weather, now they are practically dead (they are okay in the greenhouse) so it goes to show you how fickle zoning can be. Great job and pics. Doesn't that chocolate mint make a wonderful tea? I am growing a speckled romaine too; I should have gotten the red one like yours.
