Nice little flowers. I can see you have it outside. Is it a southwall, and how hardy is it?

I do not know how hardy it is, I got 2 years ago from Westphal Nursery in Germany (as kweichowensis)
I grow it on a west-wall.
It seems easy to makes from cuttings, but they grows very slow.

Hans,
It is entirely different from the kweichowensis which I bought from Westphal myself.
You say you bought it 2 years ago. Does that mean it has survived 2 of your winters outside, in Z6? Did you give it any protection? Did it freeze to the ground?
And - do you perhaps have a detail picture of the leaves? What is the size of the flower?
Fascinating plant.

Wow! That has to be one of the most beautiful clematis for color that I have ever seen. How large is the flower? Is it an evergreen?
Thanks again for the photo.

Hans,
My kweichowensis from Westphal had no flowers yet, so it is difficult to compare, but to me, the leaves seem less leathery.
I am keeping it in a pot and wonder if I should plant it out in spring. I was much impressed by your Z6, but now I see that you are probably in Z8:
http://www.uk.gardenweb.com/forums/zones/hze2.html
And, especially if you are close to the sea, you probably have a milder climate than I do.
