I love it! I, too, have many boots in my garden. For starters, 2 pairs of little rubber boots that my daughter used to wear. I keep them in front on my clematis....they say they like cold feet. I thought boots might do the trick. And my daughter's teeny little cowboy boots from when she was little decorate my breezeway.

How clever Lisa. And to think I threw out boots last year. Have you done this before? Do you make drainage holes?

No drainage holes. The boots are leather. I figure they will absorb the extra moisture. My son had fair warning. The boots have been in my garage for a year. Wouldnt want them to go to waste.

That looks good! I like the way they actually look like they were just left there - shoe strings loose - and nature took them over.

I agree!
And Lucy's blue boots in front of her clematis are really cute too.

No water will get through the bottom of those. I have a pair myself and they are completely oil and water resistant. You better get out the drill.

Actually, water drain out along the boot lace areas. At least, I think it does.

Just wanted to update you on the boot planter picture. Still doing very well, no problems. I think the coleus really like it there.

Lisa, I like it. Did you put soil directly in the boot and plant, or put a pot of coleus in the boots
