It's taken me a long time to get on board because I have difficulty navigating new sites. Slim posts the pictures for me since I have never mastered that. So I have been lurking here for a short time, but enough to be inspired. The land behind our garden is Ottawa river marshland (wet in the spring, and dry in the summer). A great place for snowshoeing in the winter. Often in the summer the early morning fog provides a beautiful background for taking photos. We still have Duke our Jack Russell Terrier. After four years of "fishing" in the pond, he finally caught his first fish this year. Unfortunately though we returned the fish to the pond, it did not survive long. The scolding Duke was given was sufficient to keep him away for a few days, but he's back to his old tricks. Again, thanks for the welcome. I hope to post more pictures over the season. I'm renovating the front garden and hopefully will post some pics of it when I'm done.
