This is my first year with this plant and I am just lovin' it. The light airy inflorescences, the most appealing acid-yellow, especially in their small quantities, just float above the border and provide fabulous contrast to heavier flower forms, coneflowers, monardas, the many daisies and phlox of late summer. And it just looks right planted with grasses too
I also have it planted near Callicarpa dichotoma, and I hope some of the yellow will hold on for contrast with the purple berries and purple asters (though the $%&!!#! woodchucks are eating all the asters!) I really love this plant though, and I hope by next year my mass planting will make a show!

I like patrinia too, one of those airy plants that seem to fit in anywhere.

I have a different Patrinia...don't know its name. If it ever stops raining, I'll try to post a photo of it.
