I succumbed to this new plant from China with a curious bloom. It is called Deinantat bifida, and is a hydrangea-like plant that should grow to 2'x 2' if it likes it here. We shall see! I saw a picture of it in a recent book, I think by Dan Heims?

Interesting plant Marie, certainly has hydrangea like foliage. Is that as open as the flowers get? I like the size, I'm on the look out for shrubs that fall into that size range.
