Morning glory not blooming

Author Message   Jetred  Posted on Friday, August 08, 2003 - 01:38 pm EST :    Can anyone tell me when morning glory is supposed to bloom. I have one in a pot by a trellis. It is growing like crazy all over the place. However, not one bloom. The location is hot and sunny most of the day. What am I doing wrong? One of mine started blooming in July but my other variety just started blooming 2 days ago. Since I am a few zones away from you I am guessing it should be any time now for you. Just remember, no fertilizer on them. That pushes foliage at the expense of flowers. Someone closer to Jon's zone: any comments?
