We almost never see Aurora's this far south (MA) our northern buddies however have great shows every now and then. However, some days ago there was a huge coronal mass ejection (CME) from the sun. This is what causes auroras and because it was such a large CME we were blessed with a beautiful sight. Here are the pictures.

What a sight that must have been, Praveen! We did see some colors during the solar flare here, but not as stunning as yours. I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights when I'm in Northern B.C. in the winter. So far I've missed them. (But there's always a first time!)
