Welcome Roelie, I's say your english is just fine! Plus your writing is great! Plus you are so knowledgeble on the computer, as well as we will find out on clematis! Your garden is lovely and I'm looking forward to all your pictures this winter too. Its a good thing christmas will keep me busy. I can't stand the short days. I'm learning to grow clematis from seed this winter and I'm starting to start seed from other garden buddies of other plants. So that should keep me occupied too. Welcome again! Oh, one thing, the yellow words also comes on when we shorten a word or use some slang. Just ignore it.

Hi Roelie! Well I can understand that the C. armandii 'Snowdrift' is your favourite. It's really beautiful. I see it as a background on your home page. Unfortunately we cant grow it Sweden, It's too cold here. Maybe I should try the C. veitchiana instead, I like the colour and the form of the flowers. Your garden looks so very lush and wonderful from your picture. And Bengt's photo above is also very good! It looks like all the I.C.S. participants had a very good time.

I liked the visiting of the I.C.S. very much but it was a pity that it was so short . I donn't believe that I spoke everyone. They were there about 130 minutes for 48 persons that if you spoke everybody you had only 3 minutes for a person. Let us be honest talking about clematis and showing all the flowers which are flowering you need more time . If Ton Hannink is here we walk a very long time through the garden and we have much to talk.

Welcome Roelie, I read about your garden on the ICS page a while back and enjoyed the pictures. You have a charming garden and I was wishing I could have been there to see it in person. I love the veitchiana and it is now on my "wish" list.

Karalyn Thank you for the man with his greeting hand. Im not so very well with seeds and not enough patience and I have so much to do . I must tell you you have not only a garden which is open for visitors ( three days a week and they can made a date when the garden is closed) I try to show every year a new video . It gives a lot of paperwork . If I have one visitor it needs also one and a half hour. The CD-rom costed a lot of time and now I am labeling the plants on another way. It is a pity that a day has no 48 hours Thank you Ian and Richard

The veitchiana is on my wish list too. And Roelie! My spellings and grammatical errors are many, but people here at this forum are so kind and considerate, it doesn't matter! And the spelling program must be in "American English" so what, we don't bother about it. And we learn as long as we live!

The veitchiana is very nice but I also like the rhederiana it nearly the same . The german rhederiana looks a little bit als. The leave under the lowest flower is longer. But mind. Both plants are growing enormously . Very nice for in a tree near your neighbours sothat you have more room yourself for other plants. The veitchiana and the Sheriffi you see on the homepage are growing to my neighbours and I can see them very well.

Hi Roelie, welcome to Gardenbuddies. That tiny picture of your garden is very tantalising, and I can well see why it would take an hour and a half at least per visitor to look round. I wouldn't worry about your English too much, I have had a Dutch friend for three years and I cannot say a single word in Dutch, let alone write one!

I have bought a very small veitchiana this year and we shall see how it likes Ontario winters soon. Rehderiana grew very well for me from seed. Both are really not intended for cold such as we experience, so cross your fingers and toes for me!

How cold is it near you ? I know only about celcius I donn't like the cold winter and snow and ice . If I did not loose time I took a wintersleep . Times go on however

Roelie, I am jealous of those people who were able to visit your garden this year. We heard wonderful things ! Someday, I hope to visit you and see your gardens. It is on my wish list and someday I WILL see it !!! You have a head start on me. Now, I have begun the process of growing my own hybrids (started last year). The process takes a long time and I wish I had begun when I was a youngster ! I look forward to seeing your garden in person someday ! That will be an amazing experience. I am so glad you have joined this group of clematis lovers. Suzy

I am very confused...I tried to see your pages but can only see one page of photos, no close-ups, no names. I thought there were 4 pages but I cannot see them. Perhaps if I could understand Dutch I would do better! I enjoy the background plants very much.
