This is a pic of NACOGDOCHES BING CHERRY (Barnhart, 1987), a mini thats true color is Rose with a purple eye. It blooms this variation about 10% of the time. Very lovely, and unusual!

Jeanie, It probably would be called a "sport" or "mutation" It is NOT the natural color, but does occur often on that DL.

Cool! I've seen this happen on one bloom on one scape, but never on multiple blooms. I see it happen more often in bearded iris.
