Can anyone give me a positive ID of this Columbine, I bought it last year as 'barnebyi' but despite doing numerous searches, I cannot find any online photos that correctly resemble it.

many of the specie Aquilegias are difficult to come by here (in Australia) but the vulgaris hybrids are readily available so when I came across this one I just had to have it.
Also, I have collected seed from this one and am also wondering if it is an easy species to propagate from seed?

mmmm ... it does look very similar to all three.. exemia, formosa and triternata, but there does appear to be some differences,
it's common name is Oil Shale Columbine and from the small amount of info I can find online it is native to Utah and Colorado, my confusion in regard to it's correct identity is that it doesn't look like any photos I've seen and now after seeing these other 3, I'm even more confused
and yes thankyou all, it is a very attractive flower.
