Seedling dormancy

Author Message   Rain1950  My Time Posted on Tuesday, May 01, 2007 - 12:08 pm EST :    Last year, I began seeds of columbine; very sporatic germination. Plants grew to about 3" then died back. I moved the 4" pots to a storage area. This spring, needing pots for transplanting, I found three healthy plants growing. With no care and no water all summer; how did these survive?
