I couldn't leave the nursery without this one at the weekend. I took it into the office yesterday where it is amazing my co-workers.

It's Hemigraphis exotica. I'd like to take some cuttings and have some in my deck container in the summer.

It's beautiful! It reminds me of a purple basil plant. I had to look this one up...and it appears its water needs are far beyond my water budget!

I've seen this plant before! This very picture, before! I had been wondering if that was you. What a good secret this place had been kept! I 'stumbled' upon it searching for a photo of Plectranthus ciliatus...

Now, I 'know' two people here. What are the odds I find more?

Hi Cena! We need more houseplant people here! I love Gardenbuddies, such a friendly group of gardeners. And the pix are so much easier to post here :)

Sue, have you taken any cuttings from the Waffle Plant yet? It has been a few years.

I just bought one the other day.

Hi Karalyn, I'm now in England and had to leave all my plants behind. I can't remember what happened to this one. I know it loved water!

Yfes, waffle plant does love water, and DH didn't water my indoor plants while I was gone to visit my sick brother in Utah. I stayed there for 10 days instead of a weekend, so that was really my fault for not calling earlier about watering.

I took it outside and put it with my shaded plants to see if it will come back. It usually does, but I catch it when it starts to get a little limp, not dried up leaves.

The plant didn't cost very much at a local supermarket. Just in case it doesn't make it. I have seen them for sale now in the nurseries now. But not as big.
