I have a massive fruit fly infestation in my house right now and I have tracked the source to a corn plant I have in my dinning room. I can see small white larvae looking segements on top of the soil. I am not sure what I can do to get rid of this problem. I can only find insecticides for outdoor plants, will those work? Any other sugestions would be kindly appreciated. Tanya

It is fungus gnats. I'm not sure which treatment works best. http://www.doityourself.com/stry/fungusgnats

I have bought a fungus knat remedy from a nursery and that did not work! I have found a home remedy but I am suspicious that it will harm my plants. It is 1 liter of water with 3 drops of dish soap and 1 capfull of bleach. Will the bleach not dry out my plants? Or will they survive?
