I have 4 spider plants is a nice sunny room of my house, not too hot, and I water them as needed.... but the leaves keep turning brown at the ends. I have tried only watering them once a week and removing them from full sun but nothing seems to work. If anyone has an other suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

They should be allowed to dry out between waterings and use rain water when possible as the leaf tips can be burnt by the salts in tap water. Make sure they are not hit by midday sun and try putting them in saucers with gravel in and filling those with water. It will help to humidify the air around them. Make sure they are nowhere near a heater of any kind and you could try misting them occasionally.
Hope that helps.

I do agree with Moira, it could be a case of over watering. That can happen faster then you think, happens to me often. Sometimes you don't know if they have droopy leaves from over watering of from not enough water and that is tricky. I agree also, don't use water straight from the tap, never. I keep those plastic juice bottles after they have been emptied and fill them with tap water and let them stand, ready for watering day. Also, if you have leftover tea, don't trow it out, save it (in a plastic bottle) or give it right away , cooled of course to any plant. The teabags as well as the coffee filters for that matter go in the compost container along with the potato peelings etc.

Good info, as I transplanted a spider plant and they died. I guess too much water! Sniff...
