Does anyone have this charming houseplant . A friend has asked if I will prune it for her as its got rather tall . Is this the correct time and how severe will I prune. And I am afraid she has watered too much with kindess . Its feet were sitting in water I have taken it out of its pot to dry to dry out ,then I shall repot with fresh comost. Also her african violets leaves are going yellow thought it may need a feed or been in cold corner.

Hi, i have 2 kalanchoe's and they are charming. When i "rescued" them from shopright their soil was extremely drenched and the roots were rotting. I took the plant out and shook to get all the dirt off. Then i replanted in some fresh compost, and they are still with me today. So yes indeed repot. And with the pruning issue, i wouldnt prune too much because you could chop it down too far, you will end up either making the plant very un-attractive or kill it. With the AV's make sure she is watering them from the bottom and not the top. Becuase if you get the leaves wet, they will yellow and fall ....
