I found this odd when I smelled this great aroma around our basement. I neglect our house plants very much. They don't nearly get the same care as the outdoor ones. With that said, I found this. I have NEVER in my life seen a snake plant (mother-in-laws tongue) grow flowers. So I took a picture and posting it here :)
I did some research after I found the flowers and some flowers flower and a lot don't. They tend to flower whey they are root bound but as you can see that plant is no where near being root bound. I thought it was very interesting, but I couldn't get over how good they smelled. Was a great find.

These are such under-rated plants! They will flower quite readily when happy, and usually flowering is a sign of maturity I think.

these specimens have been in my family forever. I'm pretty sure my mom had them before I was born like 30 years ago. So they are OLD plants. I have just been taking some out every few years to start new ones and give them away. I thought it was a neat thing. And I neglect the heck out of those things and he still grew flowers.
