I have a Spider plant that I would like to put in a hanging basket, although I can not find indoor hanging baskets anywhere! Does anyone know of a good website or have any ideas?

What do you mean "indoor" hanging basket ??? A hanging basket is a hanging basket ... Anyone should do, just, you would need to put something under it when watering ...

There're two types of planter for indoor. 1. Wall planter. Mine has a hole that means I've to take the whole pot down, when I water it. After it stops dripping I hang it back again. Below is a website. I wonder those have hole or not. http://www.lafuente.com/product.php?sid=227 This is the photo of my wall planter that hangs in my living room
2. Indoor hanging planter. Normally they've no hole. (At least for those I saw in Germany) To avoid too much water in the planter you still have to take the whole pot down, when you water it. Unless you find out the exact volume of water that the soil absorbs. Below are the links http://www.goodiestore.com/hanging-planter.html http://www.chiasso.com/store/item.aspx?itemid=53572

thank you Hankeat that helps! Franco, the only types of indoor hanging baskets that i have ever seen are macrame ones. Those were popular a few years back. The hanging baskets that I see now have a sort of mossy filling around it, i always thought that would be for outdoor use since it looks as though water would drip everywhere after its watered.

For my indoor baskets i just get a regular one for outside and set it in the sink or on a tray when watered so the ecxess can drain ... I think this would be a abit mre "inconvienent" but it is probably a lot less expensive ....

Yes, it's really inconvenient to have indoor hanging baskets. I water mine only twice a month in Summer and once a month in Winter. I think I can't bear it, if I need to do it everyday. You can grow a hanging plant without basket too. Such as the Tillandsia usneoides in my bathroom. I spray it with water everyday, but I still haven't figured out, what I should do, when I travel. Probably I pack it in a plastic bag, so that the moisture in the bag keeps it alive for the period.
