This is a couple pics of what is flowering now, a cute-as-a-button orchid and a yellow Christmas Cactus

Hey, Kniphofia, try ascocentrum, of ascocenda. The leaves are more Vanda like, and not the large tongue shaped phallie ones.;)) Either way, I am certainly jealous, this is lovely. They wera a type we could never grow that well, and you have done well, especially in your climate.

The orchid is Ryncocentrum Ladda Gold [Asctm. miniatum x Rhy. coelesis] I have another with darker flowers...more of a red color to them.

My other Rhyncocentrum Ladda Gold:
Ignore the spots on the leaves, we can't all be perfect. :D I hang them outside in a shady tree and they get a few flaws because of it.

I have never heard of rhyncostylum, but then, I haven't grown orchids for about 18 years... They are certainly well grown with wonderful flowers, I really like the colour.
