We have lots of them here, but I couldn't get photos before with the camera I had. Got a few the night before last.

They are cute.. no doubt, but from my perspective, they're cuter somewhere else. We humanely trapped at least a dozen last year and relocated them.

This one looks well-fed! We have a system in our neighbourhood, a racoon alert of sorts. And it's because of racoons that those of who have chickens have completely enclosed them so nothing can get into their runs. We live in a rural area, so we're in their territory, but we just don't want to provide them their meals. We have racoon proof garbage bins (bear proof as well). They're cute!

I think this one is a pregnant female accounting for her hefty size.

I wouldn't even think of trying to grab any wild animal!! They can get quite nasty & carry rabies and roundworm to boot!

I understand about the chickens and they do love eggs! I am in a semi rural area too. We have only lived here a year and have had to become accustumed to living along side all the critters!

I have lived in more of an urban setting before and now the burbs. I saw racoons in both places. We also have skunks! I haven't seen any but I have smelled them LOL or not LOL hehe
