Poecilopompilus algidus... of my favorite family of wasps (Pompilidae) and even though i like spiders, i dislike walking into their webs. this lady was doing her part to keep my hair web free.

Good photo you captured her well but have to hold my hands up I dont like wasps as remember as a kid growing up got a nasty sting. So really tend to try to keep out of their way.

Yuck! I am fan of your shots Edward (what camera and lens do you use if it is not a secret?) but I have chills on my back!

That's an outstanding photograph, Edward. I confess that I don't care for either spiders or wasps, but if the wasps would eat all the spiders I'd be happy to tolerate them.

Give me a spider any day! They do so much good in the garden. Great photo!

OK I have the S1 IS and I don't get those kind of shots close up!! They must have fixed the lack of macro with the S2

i have a canon point and shoot camera, a powershot S2 IS, nothing fancy Edward, you do know your camera well and take great shots with it. Another proof that the most important is the person behind the lens, skill and the eye!
