The beavers are quite busy in our forest.There,s at least 30 or more trees down They just take the tops and leave the reST
They sure do a lot of damage.

Wow! It must be quite heartbreaking to see. Do you try to protect any trees? Is it possible? We don't have beavers here.

I understand we are having the European beaver reintroduced on a controlled basis.They have brought some in from Germany.The last one was made into a hat about 400 years ago. They are bound to escape and I hope they succeed. Many years ago we had the coypu from S America and these were a disaster and had to be erradicated as they were destrying the fens in Norfolk

We had quite a problem with them on the farm and now and then the highways department would come in and 'blow' the dam. (The beaver were not hurt.) It must be upsetting when you see your forest disappearing, especially when they use so little of the tree.
