Hi everyone - this place is so great. How do we get to see it all???

Here's a visitor I had earlier this year....this was just outside my front door - I think he was playing peek-a-boo until I saw him or he saw me!

That first shot is just great! Even though deer can be a real nuisance in the garden, they are beautiful and graceful animals. Look how light on her feet this one is!

Great shot! But, oh my, that beauty looks like it could use a candy bar or 3. I can see ribs.

Yes I do love having nature in my own backyard. I've still yet to get a picture of the black bears we see from time to time. My heart is usually pounding and I run in the house and by the time I think of my camera it's gone. My neighbours dog is a good indicator of a bear before I even see it though. I also had a wonderful experience last month. I went out on my deck one morning and I have huge pine trees right there. I heard a strange bird sound so I walked over to where I could see around the biggest, closest tree to the deck and there was a bald eagle!! He saw me and took flight - absolutely amazing. I don't think I'll ever top that - we were practically face to face!! You know they're big but boy when you see them fly right in front of you, WOW. Words can't express the exileration!! Again, my heart could have come out of my chest!! A friend of mine says she saw one flying into our yard as she was driving by on the highway after that so maybe I'll see him again!! fingers crossed. Have to keep an eye on my Bosley though, mini schnauzer.
