Saw these green iguanas in Coral Gabels (south of Miami) we learned that some the green iguanas turn orange in color as they get older, mostly during the breeding season.
Here is a younger much smaller iguana
Gator, say "Cheese", he's out of the water b/c a local was feeing him bread.
There were these little tiny lizards running across the grass, look how little he is, he's sitting on a blade of grass!

BT, Thanks. I was told on another board that it's a Brown Anoli so you are right :), these guys were everywhere, some were so small like the size of a pinky!

Between the birds, iguanas, lizards and gator, this was quite the camera friendly trip for you, DW. Don't you love it when that happens?

Lizards! Love them and collect them (not real ones) I have been obsessed with them since watching gekkos on holiday as a kid. Never knew Iguanas changed colour to mate. The Anolis are adorable, nearly as cute as gekkos and why is that person feeding bread to a Gator?! No run away! Bread is for ducks!

Nice pics Ducky I'm sure if you tried to feed bread to our crocs they would be so insulted they would take your arm as well.

Steve, LOL the guy wasn't getting that close he was tossing it to the water hehe Seems they are attracted to white. When in New Orleans on a bayou tour the guy tossed marshmallows in the water to get them to come to the surface *dunno*

Oh, what pretty igs! Mine (pet igs) turned orange as they got older, too. I always thought it was just the carrots in their diet because I had a young one (named Tourmaline) that had turquoise on his face and he would always turn bluer when he ate lots of kale. Nice ag and anole, too. Did you get to see any of the anoles that look like they have sliced watermelons for dewlaps? Those are my favorite.

I think iguanas are so fancy. They look like they're wearing headdresses!
