Fun morning in the veggies with the children and camera!
Ellie found some small capsicums

Jessie found a carrot

Ben found the kitten, Wolfie

Wolfie found some beetroot and a place to hide from the kids

And they all had fun

Mum was in charge of vegetable education

The house dam has never been this...

Still working on the veg patch as DH keeps working on the new shed. Cant get the girls to wear shoes, no matter how frosty or harsh the ground, sigh.

You may be wondering why there is a shed inside the new shed. That houses our solar batteries etc, these will move into the new one as soon as we can get some roof and walls up. The shed will relocate over the water pumps beside the main tank. DH has cunningly placed the shed posts so that the batteries can remain covered...

The completed top end, with paths mulched! Looks too good to be ours, hehe.

The lower end still looks very familiar, just a bit more weeding before I can get it to the same standard.

There are actually just as many plants in here as the upper beds, I have to find them now!

More work on the veggie bed, slowly the 2nd main bed is being revealed!
A couple of small shrubs at the nearer edge had to be removed as they were right in the line of the pavers. They were lime balm and salad burnet, have been divided and moved into some newly revealed empty spots. There were self seeded spares around anyway.

The vegetable garden is starting to look pretty good, almost like someone else's!

And the girls in Jessie's garden, this will expand once the wall is completed, when the plumbing is completed..
For those in the northern hemisphere, yes this is midwinter!

You can see the lower end of the veggie patch in the background, will work down weeding and edging gradually. Then cover paths with plastic and woodchips, save me a lot of weeding...
