Default F&G Show Tubers

Yesterday was the start of the Seattle Flower & Garden Show. Among some of my purchases, were dahlia tubers. I bought most of them at Connell's, as I have an order coming from Swan Island. If you look close you can see the word Special on some of the packs. Those packs have 2 tubers in each pack. A real deal. All together I came home with 23 tubers.

Chuckle, way to go Dahlianut! It is snowing and blowing this cold day here. Your post is a hint of spring. Thank you.
I only ordered 10 new ones this year.

Ah Linda. You must be in pre-season heaven! I went to the NJ flower show last week and came home with the Bishop of Llandoff. Hope it is the real one this time.

Hi Linda, I really enjoyed your picture. Now I know that there are others out there who also come home with more than one plant. I also have LOTS of dahlias. How do you fertilize them? Can I put a small handful of bone-meal into the planting hole? What could I use during the summertime? I would appreciate any advice.

Camelia-- I would switch from bonemeal to bulb meal. Bonemeal takes a long time to break down. I use a mixture of bulb meal, kelp meal, and alfalfa meal in each hole. I only fertilizer once more with miracle grow.
Hope you post some pictures of your dahlias.

Linda, thanks for the good advice. I'll look around here and see if I can get what you suggest. I read somewhere that fertilizer for the vegetable garden can also be used.
