This odorus was grown from wild seed collected by Tim. Plants flower early in the season and are usually amongst the first to open. Most of the plants have star shaped flowers but borne in abundance.
Sadly no odour of any descripition.

I love that. Is this one harder to grow? (compared to hybridus, foetidus, niger )

Nancy, there's not much of a difference in growing requirements.
Jeff, is that faint white line around the edge of the sepals visible or a result of the photo? I ask because I am theorizing about the origin of this plant (not that it would be correct or remarkable, but there are some colonies where dumetorum and odorus get, well, interesting). |

I had not really noticed the edge effect but will check this out over the next weekend, dark when I leave and get home from work. |

Joseph, sorry to report but the edge effect in the photo is an aberration, not present when the flowers are viewed in natural light.
