Those are beautiful Dave! I'm begining to suspect that what I have are not irises - the growth habit is too different. More like a cattail. I wonder...

Thanks Tim, I like the bearded iris more than the spuria.

They put on a pretty good show while we wait for the roses to bloom. You can see the mini Hanky Panky just getting going in the bottom of that pic.... and of course there is my beautiful garden sorceress in the background

Deb tells that to people that buy the white hearts at Walmart. She says many love it and say they are going to call them that

Oh what gorgeous blooms.. now I have *such* spring fever. I just love iris. Mom had an iris that was a yellowish tan with brown in it and it smelled like root beer. I've been lusting after one and can't find it. It's an old one that used to grow everyplace.

Who sells the iris in GBs?

Hey Mr. Boyd...next time y'all thin out the irises please keep me in mind - I'll gladly pay postage. I have a box just for irises that quickly filled up another box is coming soon.
