    if it is only the leaves, then it is some critter who uses them to build a nest. can´t tell anything about chipmunks, we don´t have them.
    i solved my problem by surrounding the bases of the plants with human hair. got it for free from the barber.

    Your hellebores look allot like some of my favorite hellebores. I love the pastels and the pendant form, very nostalgia. The one below is very similar, it is one of my favorite hellebore. Picture is from 2016. I call this hellebore My Favorite though Nostalgia is a wonderful name.

    Very nice! They remind me a lot of the Elizabeth Town hellebores I have and their crosses!
