Default Vigorous Vines and Climbers list

Need some vines/climbers for privacy on a lattice, don't care if they are invasive, just need something that will take off right away.

Not keen on the roses as they attract japanese beetles here. If they flower fine, if not that is ok too, as long as they are vigorous in nature

Thx

Hydrangea petiolaris is great climber both in sun and shade with scented white flowers.

Snuzi, I just posted a question on the Clematis forum about Sweet Autumn. Can I prune that right after flowering? And then would I need to prune again in late winter/early spring or not?

I have some red cardinal climber seeds, that I would be happy to mail to you. These are pretty quick climber and hardy. The flowers are red and hummingbirds love them!! Just let me know,

Sorry Cindy...I just saw you posted a question for me. I'm sorry I dont know about the sweet autumn vine pruning. I've just seen pictures of them & I think they are pretty and makes a great screen for privacy (from what I've seen). I know if I needed a privacy screen, that's something I would consider.
